DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER

We will optimize the incorporation of fluorescence non-natural amino acids in recombinant proteins. This will allow robust and emissive proteins to generate light emissive devices and fluorescence probes for cell tracking. We will combine DNA cloning, bacterial transformation, and protein expresión. We will use a stop-codon suppression strategy to incorporate the non-natural amino acids into recombinant proteins. Stop-codon suppression is a powerful tool for incorporating non-natural amino acids in recombinant proteins in bacterial expression. We will also use spectroscopic techniques such as fluorescence and absorption to evaluate the correct incorporation of the amino acids and the photophysical properties of the fluorescence amino acids.
