Ramón Areces Foundation-Universidad Autónoma de Madrid Scholarships for students of the Masters of the Postgraduate Programme in Molecular Biosciences.
Ramón Areces Foundation and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, with the aim of boosting the training of professional excellence and convinced of its importance for the quality of the scientific research in the area of Molecular Biosciences, offer Scholarships for students of the Masters of the Interfacultative Postgraduate Programme in Molecular Biosciences of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. The purpose of these grants is to facilitate the access to postgraduate training of graduate students with excellent academic background.
Call
The Ramón Areces Foundation and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid offer scholarships for students of any one of the following Official Masters of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid:
- Master's Degree in Biomolecules and Cell Dynamics.
- Master's Degree in Molecular Biomedicine.
- Master's Degree in Biotechnology.
The number of scholarships has been established according to the costs of the tuition fees for Official Masters Programmes in the academic year 2021-2022. The call for the scholarship ends on September 16th, 2022.
Economic Endowment
The scholarship offered covers the tuition fees of the Master (Matrícula).For each of the three master covered, a total of 6 scholarship will be provided.
Application
Candidates must apply for a scholarship associated to the Master of the Programme in which he/she is enrolled.
The candidates (enrolled in one of the Master and registered as UAM user) will receive by e-mail the instructions to apply for the scholarships through a specific selection form.
Requirements of the Applicants
1. Candidates must be already enrolled in a Master and registered as UAM user in academic year 2022-2023. Enrollment should be for the full course (60 ECTS).
2. Applicants should be residents in Spain or the EU before the beginning of the Academic Course. They should provide a document certifying that status.
3. Grants are incompatible with any scholarship or financial aid obtained for the same purpose (covering the tuition fees of the Master). However, recipients could apply for fellowships or grants which do not cover the payment of tuition for the Master.
Selection Process
Applications will be selected taking into account the applicant's weighted academic record in the degree that gives access to the postgraduate studies, and other academic achievements.
The list of application forms received and resolution will be published on the website:
http://ciencias.biomol.uam.es/grants_scholarships on September the 23rd for the application forms, an on October the 28th for the list of beneficiaries, who will be contacted personally by e-mail.
Management of the Scholarships and Obligations of the Fellows
Scholarships will be handled by the Foundation of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (FUAM).
The grantee agrees to successfully perform the Master´s studies, and to remain associated to a research group that has been associated to the Graduate Program until the submission of his Final Dissertation.
Beneficiaries must also report any change of address or e-mail while enjoying the fellowship. If any of the studies performed by the beneficiary is published in a scientific journal, the grantee must specify in the publication the status of graduate fellow of the Fundación Ramón Areces-UAM.
If the grantee does not meet the above commitments, or any other conditions included in the grant, the Program reserves the right to proceed as it sees appropriate, and even claim a refund of the amounts received.
