DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER

The rhizosphere is the nutrient-rich environment influenced by plant roots, where numerous microorganisms proliferate. Among them, there are bacteria with capacities to promote plant growth (PGPRs), which will be the target of this training project. Specifically, bacteria from the rhizosphere of holm oaks (Quercus ilex L.) from forests and plantations will be selected and their PGPR potential determined. The planned methodological activities will consist of the isolation of bacterial strains and their phenotypic, taxonomic/molecular and functional characterization.
