Regeneración Neural

Lab research interests include the study of neural stem cells and their implications in neurodegenerative diseases such as the Alzheimer`s disease (AD). The student will be involved in the characterization and expansion of neural stem cells and their differentiation into different neurons types and glia. These cellular systems are used as models for AD. The student will gain skills in the culture of neural stem cells, the extraction and analysis of nucleic acids and proteins (PCR, RT-qPCR, Western-blot, IF..) and in flow citometry techniques.
