DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER

Our research focusses in the molecular mechanisms involved in the B lymphocyte immune response, with emphasis in those that govern B lymphocyte behavior (cell motility, immune synapse formation, cell polarity, mechanical forces) and how their dysfunction leads to B-lymphocyte pathologies. Nowadays, we are interested mainly in two type of proteins, Bruton’s tyrosine kinase and Diacylglycerol kinases, both currently considered as relevant molecular targets for therapy. The master student will acquire skills in several experimental techniques related to the project, data analysis/interpretation, and working by her/himself. The master student will also experience the daily lab-life and scientific events happening in a first-line research institute as it is the CNB.
