Protein Nanomechanics Laboratory

We offer two TFMs in the three main areas of research of our laboratory:

1) Differential features between pathological and functional amyloids.

2) Molecular basis of memory consolidation (amyloidogenesis of the CPEB prionoid, discovered by Kausik Si and Eric Kandel).

3) Protein engineering of designer cellulosomes (by enzyme resurrection and other advanced techniques) for production of second generation biofuels.

The two students could chose the area of their preference among the three we offer.
