Pathophysiology of Mitochondrial Biogenesis

The main aim of this project is to delve into the pathophysiology and potential treatment strategies of the skeletal muscle atrophy associated with the aging process and with some inherited neurometabolic diseases. For these purposes, induced pluripotent stem cells will be generated as a model and as a platform for drug screening.
